HWM Contracting
Governance
HWM Contracting is a registered business in the Province of Ontario. We carry comprehensive general liability insurance and all required municipal licences and registrations are maintained in good standing. Certificates of insurance are available upon request prior to project commencement.
Worker Protection
We maintain active Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) coverage for all employees and subcontractors. Clearance certificates are provided before work begins to ensure every trade on your property is properly protected and accounted for.
Regulation
All construction activities comply with the Ontario Building Code. We obtain, manage, and schedule all required building permits, zoning confirmations, and inspections. Clients are kept informed of permit status and inspection outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
Warranty
Where new home construction is performed, we enroll the project with Tarion Warranty Corporation as required under the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act. We deliver all statutory warranty documents and adhere to prescribed construction performance guidelines.
Site Safety
We operate in strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Every site maintains an up-to-date safety plan, mandatory PPE protocols, and regular toolbox talks. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe conditions.
Taxation
Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is applied to all invoices in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations. Our HST registration number is available upon request and will appear on all official quotes and contracts.
Data
Personal information collected (name, address, email, telephone) is used solely for project quotation, execution, and warranty administration. We do not sell, lease, or distribute client data to third parties. Digital records are stored with access controls appropriate to their sensitivity.
